stylish blogger award

I was absolutely stunned when I was tagged by Fluffy with the Stylish Blogger Award especially when I've only had my blog for a little less than a month and I definitely don't consider myself stylish. lol.  Thank you so much fluffy you're the best!  You guys should definitely check out her blog she's gorgeous and she does amazing manicures and nail polish reviews!

The Rules: Thank the person that tagged you and link them, write 7 random facts about yourself, tag 15 of your most recent favorite bloggers

Ok so here are 7 random facts about me :)

1. I'm a total history geek.  I am obsessed with Roman and Greek mythology.. have been since I was a child.. I love reading all of the different myths and legends.  I HEART the history channel.  My recent obsession is The Tudors from HBO, but I'm watching the PG-13 version on BBC haha all of the nudity has been cut out.

2. I've lived in Taiwan, England, Maryland, Hawaii, and San Francisco.. I think all of the moving around has helped me adjust easily to new places.

3. I'm a total germaphobe.  I totally abuse anti-bac and I clorox wipe down everything in my house constantly (like more then several times a day).

4. I was once on a reality dating TV show.

5. I'm obsessed with Britney Spears.  Always have always will.  I was really upset when she went through the whole I-cut-my-jeans-into-bootie-shorts, greasy hair, cheetos eating... walking through public truck stop bathrooms without shoes on phase.  I just pretend it didn't happen. I am listening to her new single as I type this and IT IS AWESOME.

6. I use to have punk rock fire engine red hair for 5 years in my early 20's.

7. I buy EVERYTHING either on sale or in bulk.. doesn't matter what it is clothes, shoes, household cleaning products.  I currently have 3 gigantic boxes of doggie pee pads sitting in my living room.  It's my personal belief that everything eventually goes on sale (or can be purchased in bulk).  The only thing I'm willing to pay full price for is Chanel. LOL.

Ok so here are the 15 fabulous blogs I've discovered recently!

shopping haul

As promised my major shopping haul from earlier this week! Enjoy!

Mango Belt

T-shirts from a local boutique

I'm really particular about my t-shirts and staple pieces.. I can't wear T-shirts from Forever 21/H &M because they aren't soft enough and I can't wear T-shirts from J Crew because they don't have enough stretch to them.  In other words I'm really limited... my favorite place to get basics are from American Apparel but I have a difficult time justifying spending $20-$30 bucks for T-shirts.. especially when I put a hole in a T-shirt on average once a week :(  Luckily these are super soft and stretchy and I got them for between $7-$10 bucks a piece!

Button down sweater from Zara's, T-shirts from local boutique

Both from local boutique

Military inspired ruffled shirt dress from Zara's,  Print dress from Mango, Black sheer ruffle tank from local boutique

Juicy Couture sweatshirt from Nordstrom

Found this all the way in the back of the sale section among racks and racks of deserted clothing.  This was literally the steal of the day.  Original priced at $170-ish I scored it for $30 bucks WOOHOO!

Loved the sequined doggie :)

Vintage grey fur coat found at a local consignment boutique

Zara leopard print dress,  Haute Hippe metallic gold and silver shirt/dress, Mango black and gold sweater

Coincidentally I also found fashion guru mommy-to-be Rachael Zoe donning the same dress/shirt!  I'm in good company! Woot!

Stay tuned I'll be posting my online purchases soon since you guys expressed a great interest in more shopping haul postings :)

NM chanel spring/summer trunk show

Hi Dolls!  A couple of weeks ago I blogged about how I got an invitation to the Neiman Marcus Chanel spring/summer trunk show.  I promised I would take some ninja pictures at the trunk show and I managed to get a couple to share with you.  Unfortunately when I tried to take pictures of the handbags I got yelled at by the sales associate.  Boo Hiss.  Apparently it's some copyright rule... intellectual property.. yada yada.

The items showcased aren't for sale and won't hit stores until Mar/April so hopefully this way if you missed your local trunk show you can take a look see though my pictures. :)

They showcased about 30+ new bags and I have to be honest I didn't really see anything amazing.  I feel as if my love affair with Chanel is waning.  What's going on Karl?  Do you only care about the bottom line now? :(  Hopefully things will be better after summer.  I think I usually prefer Chanel's pre-fall stuff more anyways.

Here you go!  Enjoy!

Tweed Jackets galore!! One day I will own one of you pretties!!

The lovely statuesque models.  The metallic m/l lilac flap is gorgeous in real life.  My camera isn't picking up the lilac as much but IRL it's def more of lavender-ish hue.

I thought these were pretty.  Sort of.  It's black lace and I think the lace might have been made with a metallic fabric as it had a slight sheen to it.

Another pair of shoes we were hopeful would be cute.  I always get very excited when I see anything at Chanel with a camellia flower on it.

Unfortunately I think the camellia flower is just too big and overbearing in size for this particular pump.   Also since it's a black shoe I really wish they had gone with a white camellia, that would have been very quintessential Coco Chanel.  Or they could have done a lilac/mint green/light pink camellia would have been very appropriate for spring.

I should send Karl my notes.  LOL.

No Dice.

These shorts however were gorgeous.  I couldn't get a very good picture but they're black and metallic gold lame shorts.  DIVINE!

Adorable black and white tweed dress.

Those would be some big a_ _ CC's on your behind.

I think this was probably the best thing I saw at the trunk show.  The cute light pink sweater with the tiny CC logo on the white camellia button paired with that gorgeous (uber short) tweed skirt.

cinderella is proof a pair of shoes can change your life

What 7+ hours of shopping looks like.  The sad thing is I'm already waiting on a half dozen or so packages via the mail and UPS.  I may have a slight shopping addiction.  But let's be honest here ladies if you're reading my blog chances are so do you haha.

On the left side of the picture you will notice that I abandoned  my navy blue quilted Tory's half way through the day because they were KILLING ME! OMG! My feet were really swollen and red from the shoes.  I had the hubs come all the way downtown to bring me comfortable flats hahaha.

My favorite acquistion of the day?

Suede black pumps! I mean a girl can't have too many black shoes right?

Tricked ya! Hehehehe. I'm a dork.

Dolce Vita Tavi Pumps

My pictures really do not do the shoes justice.  The sun had already set and the lighting in our apartment is crap.  The crystals are really awesome in real life and don't look cheap (which seems to happen often with crystal embellished items).  They catch the light and sparkle like crazy.  The shoes are a little more edgier then I am (haha) but I promised myself this year I would branch out of my comfort zone a little :)

You can find these shoes here.

Blogging peeps are you interested in seeing my shopping haul?  Let me know and I'll take pictures of all my newly acquired goodies :)

Also, I'm going to be hosting my first giveaway soon *fingers crossed* so follow me, follow me, follow me so you'll be in the know! I don't want you to miss out!

my random saturday

The hubs and I decided to take in a college basketball game at a local university.

USF vs. Gonzaga

Look what I found sitting on the bleacher in front of me.

OOH EMM GEE

Hermes Birkin 35

I literally had to sit on my hands to keep myself from reaching out and touching her handbag. HAHA.

I swear only in San Francisco will you see people at a basketball game with a $10k+ handbag.
A total sidenote but she should really close her bag.  Or atleast have her purse closer to her body and her coat on the outside.  PRIORTIES PEOPLE!  I realize the Birkin only looks good when it's open like that.... but still.. if I didn't have any morals I wouldn't have thought twice about grabbing her bag and running. HAHA. kidding. well sort of.

It was actually a really intense and exciting game.  They were neck and neck the entire game and they actually went into overtime.

  USF won though :)

Late night nosh after the game

Soft Scambled Eggs w/ Shrimp

Salt & Pepper Pork Chops

After we finished eating we went outside and found this going on.

The hubs went over and asked them if they were a girl band hahaha.

Turns out they were just doing a photoshoot for their own modeling portfolio.

That was my random Saturday :)

What did you do this weekend?
