Exploring Germany w/ the doggies!

This is the view from the bus square!  This is where all the bus's converge in the city.  Germany has AMAZING public transportation.  There is a bus stop on every street and the buses go everywhere!  They are also a bajillion times cleaner than the buses in the US.

I'm super loving all the pretty houses in Germany.  The buildings are just gorgeous!

Germany is UBER dog friendly you can take your dogs everywhere!  We've seen dogs at the mall, even inside the fitting room.  We've also seen dogs at restaurants even nice ones and the dogs can sit inside, we've also seen dogs inside McDonalds!  You can take your dog in taxi's, on the bus, even on the train.  They actually have an button on the automated ticket machine for the train and it's a picture of a dog so you can buy your dog a ticket!

Much of Germany is going through a rebuilding process so you often see really gorgeous old buildings right along side new sleek and modern construction.

Hehehe this just reminded me of Alice in Wonderland :p

AHAHAHAHA I just really wanted to get this.  Apparently they are really big on doing this with desserts.  This one is "spaghetti & tomato sauce w/ parmasean cheese" which is just vanilla gelato and strawberry sauce with white chocolate shavings on top.  They also have pizza, lasagne and various other Italian specialities all made with gelato!

They surprisingly have LOTS of Thai food places here and they're actually REALLY good.. I actually think some of the curries are even better then back home!

Umm.. the sushi however not so much.  I don't think we'll be eating any more sushi for the rest of our stay in Germany hahah.

I love love the cobble stone streets!!

We have a BMW dealership right across from our hotel and my husband is officially obsessed with getting a mini cooper.  I have to admit it's so adorable!!

Omgosh this was SO NOMMY!!!  It had the most delicious cream sauce and giant pieces of pancetta!

Our hotel room!  It was more like an efficiency suite since we weren't sure how long we would have to stay at a hotel because we weren't sure how apartment/house hunting was going to go for us.  It's a pretty awesome deal the room was very clean and it was only $49 Euro's a night which is about $60 USD.

WHY DOES HE HAVE TO RUIN EVERYTHING FOR ME?!

Germany is big on Doner Kebab's.  They're essentially their version of a Gyro's but they are like a BILLION times tastier and yummier than a gyro.  I think in our first week  here we ate like 5 of them.  To be totally honest I still have no idea what meat is in it. HAHAHAHA. scary right?  It tastes like chicken.. and pork.. maybe both? HAHAHAHA.

They have these tasty sandwiches everywhere.  There are like 4 of them on one street alone and probably 20+ of these shops scattered throughout our city.

They are also really big on gelato.  They have a ton of gelatorias scattered throughout the city and they have the most delicious geltao.  Ice cream does not even compare.. to be honest american gelato doesn't even compare.  If German gelato tastes this good I can't wait to try Italian geltao!!! haha.

Germany's verision of fast food.  They serve all sorts of seafood predominately fish. 

But they serve it in almost any form you can think of: fried, pickled, grilled, sushi.

There are also lots of cafe's scattered throughout the city and they are opened super late and you can order beer and drink outside!!  It's very neat but I still find it surprising that you can go to a cafe and order Coffee or order Beer heheheh.

They also have the most delicious cupcakes!  I've noticed that the sweets in Germany are a lot less sweet than compared with the US.  I actually prefer the Germany sweets they're similar to how Asian sweets taste.
