Latest Random Shopping Haul
Ok so these are the things I picked up from my little shopping date with the BFF in yesterday's foodie pics!
Ummm.. Yeah I sense a theme.. hahah I didn't realize it until after I uploaded the photos that I was obviously in a blue/pink and polka dottie mood!
The quenching masque is essentially an intensive conditioner and I only use it once a week. I leave it in for 10 min. and do the rest of my business and wash it out.
The thickening hairspray is a protectant I spray on my hair before I curl it and it also helps to give my hair some added volume.
The Sunday Shampoo is a clarifying shampoo to wash out any of the waxy buildup from your normal shampoo and conditioner as well as any products you use. It's called the Sunday shampoo because you only use it once a week on Sundays :) You obviously don't have to use it on Sundays but I'm a simpleton and it helps me remember to do it on Sunday when I see the word Sunday HAHAHA. So I basically use both the clarifying shampoo and the quenching masque on the same day as it's easier for me to remember :)!
I use this everyday after I shower just a tiny pea sized amount and I run it through towel dry hair. It is an amazing product I've noticed that my hair has become a lot stronger and healthier since I started using this product. Also interestingly enough it also makes your hair dry faster!?!! Which to some people may not be a big deal but if you have extremely long hair like I do.. it can take hours for my hair to air dry. I curl my hair on an almost daily basis so blow drying my hair is a big no-no!
I just discovered these ID removal cotton swabs and they are super awesome. They're basically cotton swabs filled with makeup remover. You take one out snap the ends of the cotton swap and makeup remover comes out so it's perfect for on the go. My eyeliner usually ends up on my bottom eyelid halfway through the day and makes me look like I have really bad bags under my eyes, in short I look like death bahaha.
I haven't used these yet so I can't tell you how I feel about them yet. Will update as I use them!
I didn't realize it until I got home but my lip creme from Sephora and lipstick from Chanel were the same freakin' color. Bahahaha. Oh well.
EDIT: OPPS! They're NYX brand not Nars. Thanks Irene :)
So cute right?! I love these and they smell SO YUMMY and they moisturize super well. I normally just use chap stick but I think because these are so yummy tasting/smelling I end up reapplying it more consistently. My one complaint is that I kind of hate dipping my fingers in it as I find that to be not very hygienic... and it's a little hard to get the balm out as the packaging is really small so only my pinky finger fits in. Ah well. It's so cute!

Lark Creek Steak + Home
Lark Creek Steak date w/ the BFF!
They're called Lark Creek STEAK so you'd think their steak would be amazing but it's just ehhhh.. their burgers however are REALLY yummy! I'm still a little perplexed about that. So if you do go.. go for the burgers and their fries!
Excuse the weird smile.. IDK why I'm smiling so stupidly. LOL. I got my hair cut after lunch the stylist took about 6 inch's off. She styled my hair with beachy waves. Do you guys like this better... or how I normally curl my hair in the above picture at lunch?
After spending the day shopping with the BFF I met the hubs @ Home for our weekly dinner date!
Home doesn't seem to be as yummy as I remember.. but the one thing they're still amazing at is their banana bread pudding. I've eaten bread pudding EVERYWHERE. You could say I'm a bread pudding connoisseur because I love it just that much! It is so deliciously decadent and incredibly dense. The whip cream on top is the perfect accompaniment to the richness of sweet bourbon sauce. The most unbelievable part of this dish is that the bananas have been torched so that it has a glorious creme brulee coating.
*sigh* Heaven in a dish :)

OOTD
Target Floral Print Tank
Forever 21 Lace Tank
Loft Cardigan
Hue Jeggings
Vintage Necklace
Vince Camuto Snakeskin Pumps
Chanel m/l Patent Leather Flap
I just discovered these Hue brand jeggings at Bloomingdale's, they are OBSCENELY comfortable. They feel like PJ's on but you don't end up looking like a bum in public. Even better you won't have to order these Pajama Jeans and be an embarrassment to everyone that knows you.
I.AM.SO.TEMPTED. hahahaha.
I'm also seriously obsessed with all things gray lately.. anybody else obsessed with a particular color? And do you find yourself trying to incorporate it into everything you wear?

My Week in Photos
Bows! I love bows :)
However on the right hand I didn't put any bows on and I think I kinda like it better.
What do you guys think?
I used Chanel Lilac Sky and Sephora by OPI Only Gold for Me
I swear Nordstrom Cafe makes the MOST bomb Salmon Caesar salads and their Parmesan Crostini's are seriously laced with crack.
Pancetta! Pork makes everything better :)
w/ baby scallops and peas :)
Over rice! It's yummy :) It tastes even better if you bake it with some cheese on top like a Japanese doria.. but I was so busy reading all of your blogs that I lost track of time (GUILTY ;).. and before I knew it the hubs was home and I didn't have time to bake it.. bahahahaha.
EDIT: If you guys have a question about the recipe please refer to the comments section of this post. I posted a little blurb there. Thanks :)
Eating the Valentine's Chocolate covered oreo's I got him :)
Dude Anthropologie has some super cute displays! It's a little tree trunk village... like for gnomes but smaller!
How freakin' cute is that?!
Napoleon's happy we're home :)
It's been storming really bad the last week in SF so to pass the time the hubs and I played Monopoly! The hubs calls me "The Shark", and whenever I start building hotels he starts to sing the theme song to Jaws and yells out "SHARK ATTACK" bahahaha.
Marinated overnight Carne Asada
Deep fried corn pattie w/ lettuce
Marinated Carne Asada goes on top
Sour cream/Salsa/Re fried bean mixture on top :) I swear it looks better then it tastes.. the hubs requests this dish once a week!
So I always try to make my life easier by making things that can translate into at least 2 different dishes in the same week. The same marinated steak I used in the taco salad I put in a spinach pasta.. and the marinated steak flavor permeates the entire pasta and the flavor is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Since it's a cream pasta I literally put in three bushels of spinach haha that's the only way I can get the hubs to eat veggies.
Does your fur baby do this too?? hahaha.

A Chanel Valentine Reveal
Are you girls ready for the reveal?
Stripping now!
TA-DA!
Gold metallic flap w/ black lace in m/l!
I think this was from S/S 2010 Act 1 or possibly Act 2, quite honestly I'm not entirely sure. I had seen this bag at Neiman Marcus literally MONTHS ago and had mentioned in passing to the hubs how pretty it was. He remembered this WHOLE time!!!!! He literally searched and called dozens of places and had our Neiman Marcus SA call dozens of places to hunt this bag down. The SA said this was literally the last one in the entire company.
*swoon*
My hubby is the bestest :)
I'm totally obsessed with anything shiny/sparkly/glossy/lacy.. you get the picture. The bag is made out of goatskin with a metallic overlay. The gold is actually quite reflective in real life. You can kind of see my fleshy pink skin staring back at you if you look at the middle of the flap. LOL. It's not sparkly or glittery and it's not a patent leather bag either. The black lace actually seems to be steamed or ironed onto the flap. I actually thought it was a loose lace overlay but I tried to pick at it and it seems to be sealed on. HAHA. Don't tell the hubs.
The tradition back pocket Coco Chanel designed specifically for cab fare and opera tickets.
The gold hardware on this flap is different then on the classic jumbo black flap w/ ghw which is a shiner glossier gold, this one is more of a brushed matte gold.
YAY and it's made in France :)! Woot! All of my Chanel babies are made in France with the exception of my classic jumbo black flap w/ ghw which is made in Italy. Which is fine because surprisingly jumbo black flaps w/ ghw are difficult to come by these days because the demand is so high. I've heard there's a 2 month waiting list in NYC... craziness!
I really appreciate that the inner flap is lined with the same gold metallic and lace cloth.
A close-up of the gold metallic leather and black lace overlay. The double CC lock is in a brushed matte gold as well.
Well that's it folks I hope you enjoyed my little Chanel Valentine's reveal! :)
