DIOR Makeup Palette Giveaway!!!

A lot of you may have seen my Taiwan Duty Free post here about this Dior make-up palette.  I looked all over Taiwan and China and didn't find it well low and behold I found it at the Barcelona airport.  WOOT!

I went shopping crazy in Barcelona but I of course thought of you dolls and I wanted to bring something back home for you guys :)  I was soooo excited when I saw this because I had looked for it so many months ago and couldn't find it anywhere.  As far as I know this is only sold in Duty Free shops in airports which you only have access too when you are flying internationally (so you can't walk into a store to buy it or find it online even if you wanted to!)

I loved it so much I was actually going to buy one for myself hahahahaha but I resisted! muhahah. I have too much make-up as it is -___-

The make-up palette case is so shiny!!! 

I didn't try to take out the makeup palette inside but I would imagine if you wanted to you could disassemble everything and take the make-up out and use this as a clutch/wallet to take out to dinner or a girls night!

The Dior case is modeled after the infamous Lady Dior handbag below. 

BTW no I'm not giving this handbag away! hahahaha I just wanted to clarify that.. I'm just using this as an example.. you can see that the make-up palette case is modeled after their iconic Lady Dior handbag.

The case itself is pretty heavy which I love.  I don't know what material it is made out of but it has a nice weight to it and the silver zipper is very big too and adds a nice touch to the case.

This is the back view of the case and as you can see the little zipper has the "Dior" logo on it!

Now the inside!  

It has a super large giant mirror which is awesome!  Perfect for taking this out for a night on the town you can always check your make-up and hair with your case :)


I love this palette soo much that as I'm typing this post out I'm regretting more and more not grabbing one for myself now ARGH! hahahaha.

The palette contains a mascara, sculpting face powder, 6 eye shadows, 4 lipstick/lip gloss (I'm not entirely sure if they are lipsticks or lip glosses honestly because the box is really vague haha) and all the accompanying dual sided mini lipstick/lip gloss brush, eye shadow brush and sponge you see in the picture!

What I didn't get to photograph actually was what was UNDERNEATH the sponge (didn't want to dirty up anything inside because it's so pristine!) if you refer to the picture I posted of the box (2nd photo from the top) it actually show that underneath the sponge is a tri-colored highlighter, blush, bronzer combo!!!!

IT.IS.SO.AWESOME.  

You could use it two ways 1. Take the sponge and just swipe it over exactly how it's laid out and use it on your cheeks in exactly the same order and sort of pat it on that way and it will line up the highlighter at your cheek bones, the blush in the middle of your cheeks and the bronzer at the bottom of your cheeks or 2. You could just take a blush brush and swirl all three colors and use it on your face to achieve that natural "glow"!

The reason I love this palette so much is that it actually offers TWO different make-up looks.  One daytime or spring/summer and one night time or fall/winter.  If you take a closer look you'll see that the left side are lighter and sweeter colors and the right side is more darker and dramatic.

So with just one palette you'll be all set to go day or night or anytime of the year for that matter :)!

Hub's B-Day Weekend!

The Hubs: You need to change shoes
Me: Why?
The Hubs: I told you already it's snowing outside
Me: Ok.
The Hubs: and you're going to break your neck if you go outside like that.
ME: ::SILENCE
The Hubs: ::SILENCE::
Me: OK FINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. UGH.

The next morning I made cinnamon raisin stuffed french toast w/ berries :)

Left the bread uncovered overnight in the fridge to dry out.

I use these Laughing Cow lite creamy swiss triangles.  They're 35 calories a triangle and soooo yummy.  I always keep a couple in the fridge because I use them for everything from putting it on wheat bread, crackers to even making egg salad with! 

In this case I used it as the "stuffed" part you only need one triangle per 2 pieces of toast.. so basically 1 triangle per "sandwich"

I use a cherry berry mixed fruit blend in the middle.  Always keep a couple bags of frozen fruit in the fridge too because they're great in smoothies.. and even when I'm craving something sweet and cold they work great as a dessert eaten by itself sprinkled with some splenda!

Forgot to snap a pic of my dipping it in the egg mixture but my egg mixture is really simple just 2 eggs + 1 cup of milk.  I don't add any sugar or cinnamon because I'm already using raisin cinnamon bread.

After brunch was over The Hubs and I headed to the mall :)

One for me and one for The Hubs muhahaha!

The Hubs is obsessed with his new winter boots it fades from grey to black leather ombre and it's flannel lined on the inside, on the tongue and around the ankle! 

And I'm obsessed with my new sneaks they're glitter fabulous with a metallic sponge-like gold finish!

And the best part they're in wedge form! OBSESSED! MUHAHAHA!!  

My wannabee Isabel Marant wedge sneakers..  I love the Isabel Marant ones.. but really cannot justify $700-ish for a pair of sneakers.  Mine were $50 Euro's so they were quite affordable in comparison.  Although to be fair the Isabel Marant ones have like 3 or 4 Velcro straps in place of shoelace's which I'm sure makes getting in and out of them significantly easier.  These are sort of a pain to put on and take off.  But no matter because gold metallic & sparkles make everything better muhahaha!

By the time we got back from the mall it was quite late so I quickly finished off the red velvet cake I baked earlier in the day by adding low fat/low cal whipped topping on the top and crushing cinnamon graham crackers.  I love the cinnamon graham crackers because it gives it a little bit of crunch and a bit of a cinnamon flavoring.  BTW in my red velvet recipe I substitute apple sauce vs. oil and it ends up being a really nice and light texture.  Also even with the whipped topping and crushed graham crackers it's 200 cals a slice!!  And it's a pretty big slice too hehe :) (BTW if you were wondering a normal slice of red velvet w/ cream cheese frosting is between 400 to 600 cals.)

I fear my love of polka dots has officially now spread to my legs now MUHAHAHAHA.  But I don't care... I love polka dots!!  I can't help but feel happy when I see all those dots. :p

The Hubs made fun of my outfit and said that I look like a disney princess. 

Never EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR wearing a bow in my hair again.  UGH. 

Plus there are no Asian Disney princesses.

And no Mulan doesn't count.

She's a warrior. Duh.

Plus what Disney princess wears leather? 

Actually now that I think of it I think Mulan does.
