Vegas - Joël Robuchon

Joel Robuchon - Winner of Michelin's Three Star, Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five Diamond, and Wine Spectator's Grand Award, Joël Robuchon has redefined Las Vegas fine dining.  Joël Robuchon was named France's Chef of the Century by the esteemed Gault Millau restaurant guide.

Joël Robuchon sent us a complimentary Lincoln Town car to pick us up at our hotel and take us to and from the restaurant :) WOOT WOOT!

Hehehe my adorable hubby :)

Once again another fine example of the sexiness I live with.

BAHAHAHA jkjkjk!

The limo actually took us through the private hidden millionaire's mansion villa that only whales and high rollers have access too.  It was so neat!

Millionaire Mansion inside MGM

Walking through the villa inside the Mansion

They had not one but two hostesses escort us through the Villa to the restaurant!

This is the private entrance that connects the millionaire's mansion with the rest of the MGM hotel.

Joël Robuchon

I didn't have any champagne because I don't drink but the hubs said this was the best glass of champagne he's ever had in his entire life!

The decor was AMAZZZIIIINNNGGG!

The bread cart - Seriously had every single bread conceivable and you can pick and choose as many as you wanted.  After you pick which breads you want they actually take it to the back and heat it for you so you get nice warm and toasty bread!

I always judge a restaurant based on their butter.  I liked that they also gave olive oil too.  I'm not big on olive oil for my bread but I definitely thought that giving you the option of the two was a really nice touch.  The butter was OUTSTANDING so rich and creamy.  It was also soft and very spreadable one of my biggest pet peeves is hard butter at a restaurant!  They actually carve it right in front of you from this GIANT butter shaped dome and then sprinkle a tiny bit of salt on top of the butter at your table.

Bacon bread and two types of cheese breads

Amuse-bouche

I honestly have no idea what the amuse-bouche was all I know was that it was freakin' delicious haha.

Truffled Langoustine ravioli with cabbage

THIS DISH WAS AMAZING!  I mean this was definitely the highlight of the evening for me.  I was expecting tiny chopped up pieces of langoustine inside but no.....

GIGANTOR pieces of langoustine!  It was so nommy it tasted like the most delicious delectable lobster I've ever had in my entire life.  The sauce was delicious and the caviar was sublime!

Eel in Tofu Soup

The hubs pic was quite yummy too the eel was delicious you could tell it was crazy good quality eel and the tofu soup tasted like the lightest most delicious cream soup I've ever had in my entire life!

Beef ribeye, wasabi spinach and a medley of bell peppers

I didn't try any of this because I'm not really a fan of cubed ribeye but the hubs said this was quite good and really enjoyed the wasabi flavoring of the dish.

Duck and Foie Gras

Ummm.  Duck & Foie Gras... need I say more?  This dish was spectacular the duck was cooked to perfection and the foie gras was some of the best seared foie gras I've ever had in my entire life.  Normally I can't eat more then two bites of seared foie gras because it tastes too rich in my mouth but for some reason this foie gras was both rich in taste but was not overwhelming to my palette.  AMAZE-BALLS GOOD.

Joël Robuchon is also famously well known for his mashed potatoes my favorite celebrity chef badass Anthony Bourdain has joked that his mashed potatoes is made with 2 parts butter and 1 parts potatoes. It tasted like it.

After his champagne the hubs had a glass of pinot noir which is also quite enjoyed but unfortunately I don't recall the name and didn't get a picture of the label :(

I have no idea what this is called but it was layers upon layers of magic.  I was really surprised when i bit into it because it has little crunchy dots in it almost like if pop rocks and dippin dots got together and had a love child!  The strawberries had real pieces of yellow gold shaved on it.  Below the crunchy dippin dots/pop rocks was this lovely chocolate mouse/cake hahaha I'm not even sure it was really hard to differentiate what was what in this dessert because there were so many things going on in it.

I don't indulge in coffee often but when I do I ADORE french press coffee!

Mignardises

Now this is the real reason I wanted to come to this restaurant!

You got to choose as many petite fours of your choosing but we decided just to let the waiter put together a plate for us with a little bit of everything.  It was fantastic!  They had this one that I thought was a fruit paste jelly but the inside burst open peach juice!!!  It was SO COOL!!!!!  They also had this other one that was a a PB&J chocolate but the chocolate was a rich dark chocolate ganache and the peanut butter as an almond butter!

This was my favorite two of the most delicious cream puffs ever!  But it was two one mini one and one slightly larger it's like the momma cream puff gave birth to a baby one and then slapped on real gold leaf hat!

Pistachio pound cake

Take home treat for the ladies!

The pistachio's were coated in real gold dust and the inside of the pound cake had some kind of red fruit on the inside.. I think it was pomegranate but I'm still not entirely sure what it was but it was nommy!

The restaurant was FANTABULOUS!  Probably the best meal I've had in my entire life in terms of high end dining experience.  I'm REALLY picky when it comes to high end dining because I can practically find something wrong with anything.  The entire evening was flawlessly orchestrated, the food was sublime, the staff was attentive but you never felt like they were hovering!  If you have the opportunity you definitely should go.  I can't wait to try his restaurant in Paris when we move to Europe!

The limo ride back to our hotel :)!

Are you headed to being a professional food critic in your future (imagine- being paid to eat!!!)? And I too judge a restaurant by it's butter! If it comes in those little cheap packages, i'm outta there. Hehe. Thanks so much for the post :)

  50. Holy cow, lady, everything looks incredible. From start to finish it looks like y'all had quite the experience, one you won't soon forget.

It's so funny that you mentioned the butter thing - I am totally the same way. I can not stand shredding my bread up by trying to apply some rock hard butter. So frustrating.

I also must comment on how radiant you look. Your makeup is flawless and you genuinely are glowing! So pretty!
