Touring Wurzburg Germany w/ new friends!!

Some of the awesome new girlfriends I've made in Germany :)

Pork w/ crispy skin, fried potatos and saurkraut

Picking up pumpkins for Halloween :)!

At the local library they hosted a mini Ocktober fest party featuring local food items that would traditionally be served at Ocktober fest.

I've never been much of a fan of pretzel's but I think it's because I've never had a GOOD pretzel before.. the pretzel's in Germany are really delicious and have amazing texture and taste.

Remember those mini toy/candy calendar's you got as a child during the month of december.  Everyday that went by you got to poke the door open and take our the treat inside all the way until Christmas?  Well this is the grown up version behind each door is BEER! crazy right?? muhahaha.

Taking the train to Wurzburg Germany!

Ok so I have to be totally honest.. the tour of Wurzburg went by so fast that I didn't have time to note down the places we went so... I have no idea what these buildings are called or where we went.. so you'll just have to enjoy the pics. I'm so SORRY haha I promise to be a better tour guide in the future!!!

If you look really close at the picture you'll notice that some of the creatures on the building are actually skeletons!!  This was most likely a funeral hall.

These column's are actually originally roman columns that remained intact and were moved here and incorporated into the building structure.

I thought this was very romantic apparently it is the tomb of a very famous poet and matchmaker.  People use to come to him to find their true loves.. now that the matchmaker has passed people continue to come to visit the grave and put a single rose and ask for him to bring their love!!  Supposedly works.. dunno though because I can't try it.. seeing as how I'm married and all. hahah.

This was actually quite interesting.. this was a real life diagram of what the city of Wurzburg looked like after World War II.  U.S. and Britian decided that any city in Germany with over 100,000 people would be bombed.  It's actually quite impressive how the city looks today considering this was what it looked like only a short while ago.

Freshly fried shrimp chips and tom yum soup

Germany surprisingly enough has AMAZING Thai food!!  The tom yum soup I had at this one restaurant had better tom yum soup than I've ever had even in San Francisco.

Unagi sushi

The unagi was really fresh and yummy but sadly they did not have avocado :(  I asked a friend who lived in Germany for a bit during college and said they don't typically put avocado in sushi here ::WAH:: that is very sad news! :(

I have a strange feeling this may be owned by Dean & Deluca in the US.  I'm not positive but I've noticed that a lot of the brand's we have in the U.S. they have overseas here in Germany but they have a slightly different name and offer slightly different things.
