Wayfare Tavern


Wayfare Tavern owned by Celebrity Chef & Food Network Star Tyler Florence.





Popovers & Butter

They served yummy warm popovers and whipped butter with a slight sprinkle of sea salt! YUM!




Foie Gras - Chicken Liver Mousse, Pomelo Marmalade and Toasted Brioche

Poutine - French Fried Potatoes, Mozzarella Curd, Braised Short Rib, Truffle Gravy



Le Grand Burger - Mt. Tam Cheese, Smoked Bacon, Brioche and topped with a Petaluma egg



Baked Mac & Cheese - Jack Cheese, Breadcrumbs and Chive and Smoked Olive Oil

Some of the yummiest, creamiest, dreamiest Mac & Cheese I've ever had in my entire life.

Sticky Toffee Pudding and Apple Cobbler

Overall it was a good meal I wouldn't say it was the most amazing or life changing meal I've ever had but it was pretty decent. 

Surprisingly the fried chicken my girl friend ordered was better then the infamous fried chicken at Ad Hoc. *gasp* Blasphemous right?  hahaha I'm going to get shot by all the Thomas Keller lover's out there.  (If you're not familiar with Thomas Keller or Ad Hoc he's also the owner of the famous French Laundry in Napa Valley and Per Se in New York both restaurants that have been awarded 3 Michelin Stars.  He is also the only American Chef to have been simultaneously awarded 3 stars for two different restaurants).  TK's fried chicken and Tyler Florence's were very similar in taste and texture but Tyler Florence's was less bready which is what I prefer.  

Anyhow definitely check it out if you're a fan of Tyler Florence apparently he hangs out in the kitchen a lot at the restaurant. :)

    Zohemgee - that poutine..... it's sad that poutine originated in Canada but that poutine looks like it puts ours to shame. hahaha!
