One of my all time favorite things to do is have Afternoon Tea! I adore it! It makes me feel so ladylike and feminine. Those of you that follow me on twitter know that I'm actually moving to Germany this fall and the one thing I'm most excited about doing is having High Tea in London! :)
(Don't you worry I fully intend on shopping, eating and blogging my way through Europe!!!)
Seriously how cute is this place?!
I'm always on the hunt for the perfect Afternoon Tea. One place will have fabulous decor but the tea sandwiches would be terribly bland. Another place will have fabulous buttery delicious scones but the desserts taste prepackaged and sugary *sigh*
My Tea Partner in Crime Shirley! We like to try all the afternoon tea places in the city. I think this may be out 4th or 5th tea house already haha.
OH! Remember in my last OOTD post I blogged about these absolutely gorgeous Jewelmint Versailles earrings but you couldn't really see it in my pictures. These are the earrings!! I just adore them hehe!
The goodies!
Chocolate Eclairs & Petit Fours |
Cinnamon Apple Scone w/ Clotted Cream and Blueberry Shortbread Biscuits |
Overall it was a wonderful time I mean what could be better then having tea with a girlfriend :) I thought the decor was lovely but I have to admit I thought the food itself was just OK. The Curried Chicken was pretty scrumptious but the bread on all of the sandwiches were a bit stale. The Cinnamon Apple Scone just wasn't my cup of tea (pun intended :) but the pink petit four was delicious!
If you want amazing scones and Alice in Wonderland-ish decor I would recommend Crown & Crumpet and if you want the most delicious tea sandwiches you've ever had in your entire life I would recommend Lovejoy's Tea Room.
My hunt for the perfect Afternoon Tea continues!
P.S. I got a lot of requests to see the Jewelmint Versaille Earrings up close so here you go :)!

That looks cute :). Im so rubbish at tea houses. I always go for afternoon tea with my Mam when we are out shopping. Only she gets coffee and I get lemonade. We always get cheese scones though. mmm.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the best food is in the worst places. There is a really rubbish old lady cafe in town where the scones are fantastic but the tables are formica and the place is full of chavs.
