Sotto Mare


Girl day with my Taiwanese/Hawaii crew hehehe :)  Sadly soon to be disbanded in the very near future!! :(





Total whole in the wall if I walked by it I probably would have just kept on walking but it was DELICIOUS!  The inside is very kitshy and cute lots of random knick knacks! Highly recommend this place if you're visiting San Francisco and are looking for seafood.





 
Grilled Sand Dab Fillets and Crab Cioppino

The grilled sand dab was very delicious!  They dust it with a light flouring of cornmeal I believe and grill it so it develops this very light crispy buttery crust.  Don't even get me started on the carrots I think they cooked them in a pound of butter... soooooo gooood. *wipes away dribbling drool on my chin* AHAHAHA sexy right?


Omgosh the Crab Cioppino is some of the best Cioppino I've had in my entire life!!  The broth was really developed and you could tell they started with a really awesome seafood base and that it'd been stewin' for awhile.  It had TONS of seafood all very fresh tasting and gigantic pieces of crab, mussels, clams, fish, octopus, shrimp.. if you can find it in the sea it was in the pot!  Make sure to shake some Tapitio in - it takes the soup to a whole new level.

    Yummmyyy!!! I just heard of cioppino from my sister a week ago. She promised that we would eat some when we visit SF in a couple of months. Funny you blogged about it! Now we know where to go :D Awesome! You all look lovely and I love your necklace.

    Looks like y'all had a delicious time. Cioppino is one of my all time fave dishes - the stock/base really does make or break the dish. Also, and this is totally random, but you have the best eyebrows. Hope you have a fab day!
