Nuremburg Christmas Market!

Crepe's Galore!

One of the best things about living in Germany is being able to visit the many Christmas market's Germany has to offer.  If there is one thing German's do right it's Christmas markets!!

Different types of bratwurst sandwiches

Different types of homemade chocolate bars

Each city that hosts a Christmas market also has it's own mug with the cities name on it.  How adorable is my blue boot mug??  During the holidays people travel to the different Christmas markets and collect all the different mugs from the different cities.  I ordered the "Kinderpunch" or rather the kids punch which tasted like hot apple cider with a spash of orange juice.

My winter weather get up!!

I get hot very easily especially if I'm walking around so I try to dress in lots of layers during the winter months so that I can easily shed layers when I get warm or build them up the temperature drops.

The hub's eggnog which I swear was straight alcohol!!  It BURRRRNED going down!

You might be surprised to know this but one dream item I really would love to one day own is a giant gorgeous Victorian dollhouse just like that one in Gilmore Girls and I want to fill it with all these adorable trinkets!!  One of them is a teeny tiny plate of bacon and eggs!! SO EFFIN' CUTE!

Schweinsteak Sandwich

This is what is referred to as Schweinsteak or Porksteak.  It's a giant porkchop marinated in spices and seasonings and stewed for hours on end with onions.  I've eaten A LOT of porkchops in my day and this ranks as one of the top 5 best porkchops I've ever had in my entire life.  I can't believe I didn't know about this sooner.  This is better than ANY bratwurst sandwich I've had in Germany.

This is my P.S.A. whenever you leave for Germany all you hear about is "oh you're gonna eat so much bratwurst it's so good!"  The Schweinsteak sandwich beats bratwurst sandwich hands down!

I don't know why I can't find this more places they only had one single stand that sold this whereas there were probably 10+ bratwurst stands at the market.  The meat was tender, juicy and so flavorful.. the onions picked up all that fatty pork juice..

OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMG. NOMMY.

Yeah that is how I reacted when I bit into it.

My gingerbread bear!!

FYI he was much cuter than he tasted.

Kartoffle Puffers

There are what they refer to as Potato Puffers.. or you might know them as Latka's or Potato Pancakes.  These were fried with onions and they were crazy delicious!  Seriously there's nothing better then deep fried potatos haha.

Gorgeous Nuremburg!

  18. Wish I could be there to experience the goodness at the market, Lisa. And don't you look warm and cozy there. I bet it is quite cold.

I am confident that you can totally rock colored pants, especially cobalt blue and pair with a pair of boots. I would love to see you in them. Hey I saw your Jimmy Choo's feather heels last week at the store, so gorgeous in real life.

  19. By "market" you mean FOOD market, yes? omg-- I want to go! I love going around and tasting all the yummy fooooods that each stall can offer. That pork sammy looks absolutely delicious, and I am sooo latke-obsessed, I'd probably eat all three of those in a heartbeat.
