Residenz Gaststatten

Hubs and I getting ready for date night  :)

The Wurzburg Residenz Gaststatten!

Wurzburg, Germany has a gorgeous baroque castle and it has a really modern restaurant that is actually built into the castle structure.  The juxtaposition between the old and the new is so neat!! hehehe.

You can see the main part of the castle behind me!

Hubby actually had the ENTIRE restaurant shut down for about an hour for our dinner.  I'm serious. I've NEVER ever dined alone like this at a restaurant before it's both bizarre and amazing!

The most adorable tea cup booths ever!

Foie Gras Terrine

Kaiser Wilheilm and Beatrice wedding portrait (hahah I asked) and F.Y.I. she was 12 years old when she married!!!  Crazy!

Pumpkin Chili soup

Risotto w/ fresh veggies

The Risotto was actually wrapped inside the cabbage leaves!!  So nommy I loved this dish!

Cranberry sorbet refresher

Apple & Pear champagne sorbet refresher

OMGGGGG I WANTED TO EAT 10 OF THESE

Cod w/ beets & potato puree

Peach, Green tea and Passion fruit cream brulee

Seriously the best part of the meal.. their cream brulee was OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Thank you hubby for such a wonderful memorable experience! :)

  34. Hi! That's a really elegant and modern looking place. Reminds me of a place in Miami called Bourbon Steak, minus the castle, of course.
You're wearing your Kie & Kate necklace! I have the mint green one.
