PARIS Part 1

The Hub's told me we were going to Stuttgart to visit the Porche museum so I could test drive my future, dream, REALLY seriously keep on dreaming dream car hahaha but instead of driving us to Stuttgart he drove us to the Frankfurt airport.  And said "Surprise we're going to PARIS!" WOOHOO!!

Hahahaha Paris is probably one of my top 5 favorite cities in the world so I was so excited about getting to go back!  Everyone about Paris is wonderful - the food, the architecture, the people, the sites and the most important THE SHOPPING! MUHAHAHA! :p

The adorable boutique hotel the Hub's booked us at!  Two minutes walking distance to Champs Elyesee, Rue St. Honore and Printemps!  Such an amazing location!

Famous French novelist Marcel Proust lived here!!!  He's best known for writing "In Search of Lost Time."  I've only read bits and pieces but if you've finished all of the 7 volumes then I'll give you a cookie.. hahaha I think it's like over 3,000+ pages long!

Hahaha for those that asked for a Hub's OOTD after seeing all the Ralph Lauren boxes.

Sweater - Ralph Lauren
Jeans - Paper Denim
Socks - Ralph Lauren

Hahahaha

Espresso pod machine! WOOT!  It's interesting because back in the states you always see people running around with giant cups of coffee in paper cups but over here everyone's running around with a teeny tiny paper cup filled with espresso :)

An adorable little alcove to put my make up on

The White Company bath products

Candy colored shoes at Prada!!  I need some bright yellow pumps in my life STAT!

The line outside the Louboutin store.. we waited outside in the FREEZING cold for an HOUR!  AN HOUR!!!!!!!!  The whole time The Hub's and I joked that I absolutely had to get something to justify waiting outside.. and that if I didn't HE WAS going to buy something for himself bahahahaha.

The Hub's snuck these spy shots inside the Loubie store just for you guys hahah :)

After visiting ALL of my favorite designer stores in Paris I unfortunately left empty handed!!  ::SADNESS::  I didn't find anything that really "spoke" to me.  I found the most AMAZING shoes at Miu Miu but they were sold out in my size and sold out in the rest of Paris ::CRIES:: :(

I will say this I definitely think Paris has better stock than their German counterparts.  I feel that the Parisian stores even within the same brands carry a more varied selection and are more keen on stocking brighter colors whereas the German stores generally stock more conservative and neutral items.  ie. Prada in Germany I've found to stock more blacks, browns and grey shoes whereas the Prada in Paris stocked a wide range of bright pink, blue and green shoes!

Shopping was a bust so it's time to eat haha.

Seriously the French do everything better even a basic ham and cheese on baguette is amazing here. NOM NOM NOM

The Hub's called downstairs for them to send a razer up because he forgot his and this is what they sent up!  AWESOMENESS!  I can't help it I love hotel products hahaha.

Obsessed with this gold statement necklace I got from BCBG!

Heart these window displays - HAHA pun intended :p

Now this is a box of Caviar I can get behind bahahaha!

  4. p.s. and so true about the lack of colors in Germany. Most of the girls I know usually wear all-black, brown, or gray. I guess it blends in with the drab gray weather lol. I totally stand out when I'm there in my bright pinks and reds. They think I'm so girly :)

  5. Ooh, I'm going to France the summer after this I believe and I'm looking forward to it tremendously. It'll be a great way for me to practice my French and for me to see all the couturier's shops! Looking forward to it tremendously, but I don't think I can convince myself to stay in line for an hour for the Louboutin store! :)

It's too bad that you weren't able to find anything in Paris at the shops, but at least you had yummy food and FREE hotel products to bask in! Hahah, I love hoarding good hotel products! & love the BCBG necklace on you. You're making me want it! The enabling never ends, hahah.

  9. Lisa, the dream car can wait when you have a husband who will surprise you with a trip to Paris and wait with you (in the cold no less) to check out Christian Louboutins!! Lucky gal!! My hubby will wait with me as well...I love me some Loubs but getting him to travel outside the states is another story...oy vey.

BTW, do you guys speak German/French?? Or can you get by with English in Europe. We are planning on a European trip before the babies come so I'm wondering if I should brush up on some Frenchie...

Louboutins, god I love them unfortunately the place I live in has a VERY poor collection of them in a department store :( not even worth going to look at.

  13. Bwahaha. I love the last picture. You guys are so cute and I probably tell you this in EVERY comment.

I hate how when I know I want to get something, no one has anything. BUT when I'm trying to be good, I see EVERYTHING! I went to the Loubie boutiques in Vegas and didn't see anything I wanted either. And if I did, no sizes :\

I can't wait for more pictures!

  42. I have to admit that I agree with you on German fashion. When my exchange student was staying with me she would shop Shop SHOP! She said you can't find the same clothes in Germany that you can in America. She stated the clothes were cheaper, better, more colorful, and had a great variety.

I have to say that I LOVED all the shops pictured. I'm the only person in the world who has not been to Paris!
