PARIS Part 2

You are not allowed to visit Paris without stopping by Laduree! NOT ALLOWED!! muhahaha!  Even The Hub's is hooked on this place.. we went twice in two days and after we got back to Germany he asked if he could order the Macaroons online and I said no.. and he said "WHAT?! I HAVE TO FLY TO PARIS EVERYTIME I WANT MACAROONS (*&@(#&*@(#*&"

THEY.ARE.THAT.GOOD.

Sidenote - There are locations all over the world.. I think only one in the US though in New York but if I'm not mistaken there's like half a dozen stores in Japan.

Literally a kid standing.. well by a candy store.. but you get the point. haha.

Even the keychains are ADORBS.. they're also $70 Euros.. which is almost $100 USD. YIKES!

Laduree also has an amazing Home and Beauty selection! Love love love their products and especially the packaging!  The attention to detail is AMAZING.  I swear the French do everything better. hahaha.

The Hubs and I hunkered down and decided to share the Laduree set brunch menu.. which actually was an obscenely ridiculous amount of food.. we barely finished it.

Can you tell how excited I am?? hahaha

The thickest hot chocolate I've ever encountered in my entire life.. I think they just melted one giant block of dark chocolate.  It was so rich.. I basically had like 3 sips and was done. haha.

Heart that there's Orangini EVERYWHERE in Paris! LOVE :)!

Delicious homemade jams and butter!  Even the butter tasted so decadent!

If you look closely you'll see that the hot chocolate is more of a thick consistency as opposed to the regular water downed version we're use to in the States.

Even there whip cream is delicious. hahaha are you grossed out yet??  Because I'm starting to feel grossed out as I'm writing this.. I seriously was so giddy when I was there I could not stop cheesin' hahaha.

There breads were divine the croissants were delicious!  I was really surprised when I bit into it the inside had this delicious brown sugar and chestnut mixture.

Yes even the eggs and bacon were displayed beautifully and tasted light and delicious.

Fruit cup.. absurdly fresh and sweet.

Pistachio, Vanilla and Chocolate Macaroons

Can I just move in here please????????

Did some major damage in the Home & Beauty goods section :)!!  Don't worry - REVEAL SOON! :)

The mass hysteria at 10 AM.. and I was only able to photograph about 1/3 of the room.. it was CRAZY in there!

I loved all the Macaroons but I have to admit I didn't love the fruit based ones as much as the cream based ones.  Next time I go back I'm just going to make a box filled with vanilla, caramel and rose.  THEY ARE SO GOOD.  The Rose seriously tastes like you are half eating half smelling a real rose.. and the caramel is crazy deliciously rich and the vanilla well The Hubs described it as eating the most amazing vanilla ice cream he's ever had in Macaroon form!

  6. I bought both the sweet and savory Laduree cookbooks via Amazon. I once ate 16 mini macarons in one seating. I felt really queasy but hey, it was so worth the pain :P

  21. I am BEYOND obsessed with Laduree! Esp. their new room sprays with the precious atomizers- rice powder scent is my fave!
I also def agree with you- the non fruit flavors are the best. Vanilla being my absolute favorite! You can actually taste pureed vanilla beans inside the filling or something magical!I must try the rose when I get back to Paris:)

I haven't tried Laduree's hot chocolate, but tried Cafe Angelina in Paris. Also pretty thick. My all time fave is still in Barcelona with a side of churros!

  29. Omg Paris!! And high tea too!! You have the perfect outfit on for high tea haha. I have heard different stories of how you can get by fine without French and I've also heard that there's a lot of places you miss out on because of not being able to communicate. Did you find it somewhat of a challenge because of the language barrier? Just curious haha

  39. I am totally thinking of taking a trip to Paris if we go to a wedding near Frankfurt! Shall we meet for macaroons then, hehe? But I really will want to stop by the salon de Laduree - seriously it was that full at 10 am? Crazy!

Oh and question for you Chanel friend - I'm thinking of buying a '07 metallic silver reissue - the color is insane and is between gold and silver. But I am afraid the color will rub off (experience with a few other metallic leather goods from other companies). Do you think the color will stay?
