Taiwan Beauty Haul!

My Beauty Haul!

Luckily I had some foresight before we left for Taiwan and I actually packed my foldable Longchamps weekender. To say it came in handy would be an understatement muhahaha.

Some of the free stuffs I got when I purchased my beauty products!!  Loveeee free stuff :)

Makeup Removers
I tried grouping my purchases by the type of products they are so it would be easier to show you guys the things I picked up.

I purchased a random selection of makeup removers.. some Neutrogena and Biore (along with the refillable packs and travel packs).  As well as some liquid removers for eye makeup.  The smaller bottle is oil based whereas the larger bottle is water based.  The sales girl said the water based makeup remover is UBER popular and always sells out unfortunately the bottle is in Japanese so I don't know the name of it :(

Rilakkuma!
I heart Rilakkuma!! :)

I got these super adorable wipes and a pink sequined makeup bag and a bottle that smells like apple.. it says "Body Soap" on it... but it has a pump on it so I'm assuming it's just a mistaken case of "engrish" and it's hand soap and not a body wash haha.

Face masks
I also stocked up on face masks!  My favorite brand of face masks are from a Taiwanese company called My Beauty Diary but I still have quite a few of those left so I'm trying out this brand from Sasa.. it's called Sasatinnie. They were buy one get one free!  Woot!  I haven't used all of them yet but I did try the Red Wine and I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it!!  I was really apprehensive at first because I was really afraid they would smell like rubbing alcohol or something but they don't smell like alcohol at all!  The scent is a floral and fruity mixture and it smells soooo good.  My skin was plump, dewy GLOWING for a good 3 days after.  I'm OBSESSED!

As for the Hello Kitty masks.. well.. it's HELLO KITTY!! Haha how could I not get them?! :p

Oil Blotters & Clay Mask and Firming Masks
I only just recently discovered facial masks.. and I'm obsessed especially with clay masks!!  Clay masks are amazing and I really love this one I picked up in Taiwan it was roughly $20 US but that's definitely on the pricey side.. and probably difficult for most of you to find as well because I couldn't find it online after I got home.  I also just started recently using an american brand called Queen Helene's mint julep mask.. I think it was like $5 bucks for a whole tube and it's pretty awesome too really helps with acne!

I tried the firming mask and I really felt my skin tightening while I had the mask on.. I have no idea and can't really vouch if it ACTUALLY firmed my skin up but it definitely felt really tight on my face while the mask was on.

Liquid eyeliner
Picked up some brown and black liquid eyeliner.. I'm trying out the Charm Color for the first time because the sale girl said they were really popular in Taiwan.. and the Majolica Majorca is an old favorite that I love it (thanks Wei!!:)  It works really well almost like a pen so it helps especially if you have shaky hands like I do.

Random Stuffs
I also picked up some Nexcare acne stickers.. they are little stickers that you stick on a pimple the stickers have some kind of medication on it.. and it helps to target the pimple.  They use to have really cute ones in the shape of stars and hearts.. but I couldn't find them this time :(  These are just the normal circle shapes.

I also bought some spray on SPF!  I loveeee spray SPF!  I hate the greasy feeling of putting on SPF from a squeeze bottle.  This one is from Cyber Color and it's a Korean company and it's SPF 50 PA+++.  I was really sold on it because it claims that it is oil-free, non-greasy and waterproof!  We shall see!!

I also stocked up on eyebrow shapers!  These work REALLY well and are SUPER sharp.. you have to be really careful when you use them or you can seriously accidentally slice off your entire eyebrow. Serious.  No jokes I sorta sliced off the tail end of my eyebrow. FOR REALS. #NOTCUTE bahahaha!

Gradient nail polishes
I also stocked up on gradient nail polishes! WOOT!  These are from a Taiwanese company called Beauty World.  I'm super excited to use these!!  They're sorta like eyeshadow quads but for your nails hahahaha.. it's gradient nails for dummies.. painting by numbers if you will :p!

Eyelashes

I'm a lash girl through and through!  I love lashes and I made a point of stocking up on them in Taiwan.  I love wearing lashes and wear them whenever I wear makeup but they can get REALLY pricey especially if you are purchasing them at your local drugstore.  A pair of Ardell will normally run you about $4-5 bucks.  Especially for someone like me who tends to layer several lashes on top of each other when I wear them so that gets really expensive fast!  In Taiwan a box of 10 pairs will run you roughly $6 US.  WOOT!

That's it for my beauty drugstore haul!

Stay tuned for my Chanel make-up haul coming soon!

  2. goodness! Look at all those goodies. I remember when my grandmother went to Korea last year, she literally walked through a beauty department store and came out with 2 bags of free samples. I'm still not done using them. But Asian beauty products are so adorable, I'd totally stock up again!

  15. I personally love Biore's makeup removing wipes, works incredibly well! I love nexcare as well, at first I was skeptical, but it work wonders on my pimples!

  16. I like My Beauty Diary too and got a bunch at Sasa while I was in Taiwan too! I will definitely have to try the one by Sasa. My favorite clay mask of the moment is the White Umbrian clay mask bar by Fresh (the trick is to just wet your fingers and pat on the targeted area so you don't wet the entire bar and it cracks/crumbles on you).

Thanks for sharing and have fun using your beauty finds!

  40. That is a HUUUUGE haul! I thought I bought a lot in Hong Kong but you totally beat me haha! For the Rilakkuma body soap - it actually might be body wash! A lot of the body washes in Asia are sold in pump form :)

  41. i LOVE taiwan!!! :) heheh!! and wow that's a lot of eyelashes!!

  42. I love this post! I love to look at all these cute Taiwanese and Japanese beauty hauls. It seems like your Long Champ weekender came in handy with so much beauty loots.

That is a lot of fake lashes! You don't reuse your lashes? Gee, I feel so dirty. I reuse them to death coz I can't always find suitable ones and I feel they are too expensive to be thrown for one time use.

I would so love to try the gradient nail polish for dummies coz I'm a dummy and I like the outcome of the gradient nail polish.

  43. That is quite some haul! LOVE IT! I'm a makeup junkie too! Love love all the lashes you bought. Do you wear them everyday?? I have always wanted to try them but I'm scared I will glue my eye shut. Any advice would be fantastic!

  50. OMG LADY YOU ARE CRAZY and so I am HAHAHAHAHA! Next time you know you need to bring along TWO longchamp bags and I don't mean the tote sized one people carry but the extra large ones LOL Actually my body soap comes in a pump bottle too! There's so much cuteness in this post I wanna barf and I also wanna punch you so that when you're holding your guy from the pain I can run away with your goodies, wait was that too graphic or mean? Oo

All those lashes just look like creepy spiders to me LOL <-- got a funny store to tell with that one! And holy F me, spray sunscreen? I need some now!!! I also love clay masks and personally like "liquid" masks over sheet masks, I have a small shrunken raisin face so the sheet masks never fit properly and half the time I can't breath.
