Picked up a bunch of Chanel goodies with the gift certs my dad gave us to Sogo and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department stores! WOOHOO! Thanks Dad! :)
Seriously how adorable is Chanel packaging.. total sucker for makeup packaging!
Picked up two bottles of my absolute favorite Chanel 210 Lilac Sky.. I often have trouble finding this color.. and this is the ONLY bottle of nail polish I have ever finished using in my ENTIRE life!
Trying out a new Chanel foundation.. this one is suppose to firm and smooth your skin.. ie. wrinkes!! GAH! I'd always breezed by "wrinkle" skincare products and makeup.. but I'm hoping that if i start preventative measures now it might help in the future.
Have you guys have tried some of the Chanel liquid foundation and if so which foundation is your favorite?
Picked up another one of my fav Double Perfection Foundation.. some of you might remember I picked up one in Paris as well.. but this one interestingly enough comes with a brush! I've never ever seen that before and I've been purchasing this foundation for roughly 10 years. This foundation can go on wet or dry.. if you want it wet just add some water to the sponge and it is buildable.
The interesting thing about this compact is that the foundation part actually "pops" out for refills.. however I cannot seem to find the refills anywhere.. I've heard certain country offer the refills.. so whenever and wherever I travel I always try and ask if they have refills.. does anybody know if your particular country sells refills??
I didn't blog one of the items that was in the "family" picture above.. because I truly feel that it deserves its own blog entry!

ReplyDeleteWhen I used to work at NM, the cosmetics girls recommended me Chanel and Bobbi Brown for foundation. Let me say, I looooove the smell of Chanel. It's so pleasant compared to some other brands. I don't use their makeup anymore, but I used to use the liquid foundation in a fat cylinder bottle. Sorry, the bottle is up in SF, or else I'd let you know. It covers really well, and it's easy to use. I personally thought the Bobbi Brown one looked more natural with good coverage. Anyway, I love your makeup haul! I'm a sucker for good nail polishes...and Chanel is definitely on my list!

Chanel makeup and nail polish is the absolute best. Long lasting and excellent pigmentation. My favorite!

ReplyDeletei LOVE chanel vita lumiere aqua foundation...I wear BR20 and it's so light but yet has good coverage. the finish is semi-dewy and it comes in a good range of colors. love it! and love your haul!

I love Chanel power but for some reason it make my skin so dry, so I mostly use lipstick and lip gloss from them but not foundation or power. Recently I'm in love with Ariflash Spray Foundation from DIOR, I think you might like it , check it out

Great buys, I love Chanel make-up as well. Almost everything I use is from Chanel, their powders are to dye for. Curious to see more from the last travel 'all-in' package.

ReplyDeleteI love Chanel liquid bases- their shades suit me the best. Vitalumiere Aqua is my fave :) but my absolute fave is the Le Blanc powder foundation used the same way as your Double Perfection. I know Malaysia & Singapore sells the refills!

I enjoy Chanel make up as well, and have a good relationship with the Chanel consultant in Fiji. I've been buying from her for years and she's worked at the Chanel counter for years - works out so well :) I use the Vitalumiere Aqua liquid foundation but my absolute favorite is the Teint Innocence Creme foundation. It is just AMAZING! I'm not sure about refills though, I don't buy them...
ReplyDelete*sigh* I was wearing Chanel foundation and powder for a while and getting so many compliments...it is def worth the money. But due to the fact that I have ultra sensitive/acne prone skin the only thing that works on my skin is Bare Essentials Mineral Powder. Maybe one day, when my skin isn't going thru puberty again I can go back to Chanel (lol).
