Staycation Hotel + Quickie OOTD

A couple of months ago I found this amazing deal on TravelZoo for a four star, four diamond hotel in Wine Country.  The deal included a hotel suite w/ fireplace plus a bottle of wine, 2 tickets to the neighboring winery, dinner at the resort restaurant and breakfast in the cafe!

How much was this package you ask?

$200 bucks!!!! Talk about steal of a deal!

The grounds were really pretty!! Lots of lush trees and flowers.

The resort looks as if it were plucked right out of a Tuscan countryside (not that I would know considering I've never been to Italy AHAHAHA.)

Truthfully the room was a bit more rustic then we're accustomed to.  We have a tendency to stay at more modern hotels like the W hotel but for $200 bucks I really can't complain.  Although I did think that the hotel was in need of a bit of updating a lot of the fixtures seemed old and somewhat outdated.  Ok so I guess I can still find things to complain about bahaha.

I did however really enjoy the vaulted beam ceilings.  My parents have similar vaulted beam ceiling in their home so it felt a bit like I was visiting home for me :)

Also the bathroom products came in cheapy looking containers like you would get if you were staying at the Holiday Inn :(

However when I was showering I discovered that they were actually really excellent products.. the packaging was a bit off putting.  I did later discover that they sell the full size products in the hotel gift shop and it was in pretty packaging haha.

Turn down service chocolate chip cookies.  I'm not much of a cookie girl but these cookies are INSANELY GOOD!  They gave us two and the hubs and I were basically fighting with each for every single bite!

They're made on sight and I think the bakery is amazing because everything we had all weekend that involved some kind of bread/pastry/dessert was insanely delicious!

We actually tried to buy some when we were leaving but the front desk girl looked really confused.. and said 'oh we don't sell them' and then stared back at us blankly and then the hubs was like 'Uhh ok nevermind' hahaha

Remember when I revealed these Kate Spade boots.  Here they are in a quickie OOTD!

Top: American Apparel tank top, Zara cardigan
Bottom: Forever 21 ruffle skirt, Charlotte Russe lace tights
Shoes: Kate Spade bow boots
Bag: Gucci large Sukey leather tote

  32. I need a vacation BAD. Oh if there are only wineries (for cheap!) up here :) Lucky you, Lisa! I like the modern look too, but have to say that the "old" look fits nicely with the rustic charm of Tuscany (not that I would know either, haven't ever set foot in Europe!) from books/movies that I've seen.
