PPQ Dungeness Island & Golden Island Cafe

One of my all time favorite places to eat in San Francisco is PPQ!  They have the best Vietnamese egg rolls, the best garlic butter crab and the best garlic noodles I've ever had in my entire life.  In other words it's total food gluttony at it's best!  If you ever visit SF promise me you will put PPQ on your itinerary!

IT IS THAT GOOD.

Egg Rolls

Garlic Butter Crab & Garlic Butter Noodles

This is ample enough food for 2 people in fact we had enough for a 2nd meal for both of us at home the next day.  It was so yums that DURING our dinner the hubs and I actually argued over who would get to eat the garlic butter noodles the next day.  ahahahaha.

Obviously he lost. HAH.

jkjk I shared. :)

Watermelon Sago

One of my favorite late night Hong Kong cafe is Golden Island they serve up cheap and yummy HK desserts.

I order the same thing every single time I go because it is just that good.  It's essentially blended watermelon and watermelon juice with ice, sugar syrup and little tapioca balls.  It's so simple but so delicious and it's especially satisfying after you've just consumed 10lb's of butter. (Please refer to crab and garlic noodles above.)

Sample Platter - Mango Sago, Coconut Boba, Fresh Fruit and Vanilla Ice Cream

The hubs picked the sample platter which has a smaller portion of some of their most popular items.  All delicious and refreshing and you feel like less of a fatty because you can tell yourself that you had fresh fruit for dessert. BAHAHAHA.

  1. I LOVE Vietnamese egg rolls and those look nice & crispy, just how I like them! I'll be heading up to SF this summer w/ my BFF who's from there, so her & I will be heading there for some Vietnamese grub! : )

  4. OMG all this food!!!! I can't stand the temptation!!! Oh which reminds me, I just found out Im actually a bit allergic to shrimp!!! nooooooo!!! I love seafood!!! I'll probably blog a bit about my allergic reaction to shrimp sometime, it's not a huge deal but I basically grow these bumps which look like bug bites and they're itchy too and take forever to go away =( Now Im not careful when it comes to eating shrimp/shellfish, I only found out recently because I ate shrimp 5 days in a row and sure enough I had 5 bumps saying good morning to me T_T

OMG Disney World is the best, really the happiest place on earth!!! If I go, it will probably be next year since I already had my fill this year =P Omg I love Epcot too!! I spent two entire days there just because it was so huge, I wanted to try all the different food there too, of course this wasn't possible but it felt good using the dining plan! Not having to worry about paying for food during vacay is such a stress reliever!!! Did you use it when you went too? Oh and as for Harry Potter world, you MUST GO!!! now! pack your bags! Even my bf who's not a huge fan loved it and butter beer.....delicious! If I got to Disney World next year I probably won't be going to universal world again, if you want, I have some photos from my universal/florida trip on my blog =)

I've never gotten diarrhea from travelling but for some odd reason when I went to Hong Kong during May last year I had 20-ish bug-bite looking things on my legs.....and they were itchy....and it was hot...you can imagine the pain I was in, Im sure it wasn't bed bugs since bf didn't get a single bite!!! ahhh wth?!

Honestly Lisa, you live a great life!!! I love reading your shopping hauls, foodie posts, outfit coordinates and random posts! <3

  28. Oh my that crab looks so yummy! Crabs become a recent new favourite of mine but it seems to be a little hard to come by in shops and restaurants in the UK - or at least in the places I go too. So so tasty though and its surprising how much meat you can get out of one! xx
