Seattle Part 4

The Fremont Troll! :)

Exploring the troll's nostrils hahaha.

I love how Seattle has so many pretty flowers and landscaping everywhere!!

Winery tour

Din Tai Fung in Bellevue.  O M G it was SOOOOO GOOD!!!  The hubs and I both agreed that it was even better then the one we went to in LA and in Taipei!!  If you aren't familiar with Din Tai Fung it's basically the brand name Shiao Long Bao restaurant from Taiwan.  They have like a dozen restaurants in Taiwan and scattered throughout the rest of the world.

BAHAHAHA he smiled for my camera!!! niceeeeee!

Halfway through the meal Kathy said this was by far the best meal we had in Seattle!

Hehe while we were eating we looked out the window and this is what we saw!  HOW CUTE!!  We were saying that they should put one post it in every window on that side of the wall so it would look like a real pac man screen hahaha.

Another Tom Douglas restaurant!

The in house made maple pork sausage was insanely good.  I gave one to the hubs before I even took a bite of mine.. and then I seriously regretted giving him a whole sausage link. AHAHAHAH

One of the best trips ever!!  Thank you Seattle for showering us with fantastic weather, Kathy & Kim for flying out from Atlanta, Shirley for flying out from San Francisco and Ian for showing us an amazing time!!

SEE YOU GUYS IN GERMANY!!

  28. Hahaha you guys are such goofs :D The nostril pic reminds me of the mini Statue of Liberty statue (if my memory serves me correctly) inside the museum where I also stuck my arm up her nose, hahaha. Granted I was a little kid back then, but I can also see myself doing that now if I went to visit, lol.

Dim sum...... I need to try! I remember the one from Taiwan but haven't tried any in the States. Are there any in Nova that you would recommend? China Garden in Rosslyn was ok I thought... and I can't really think of any others, haha.

  35. Are you wearing a maxi dress or skirt? Either way, you look so pretty in it with the leopard!

O-M-G, I cannot even tell you how MUCH I love Din Tai Fung!!! There's a version in Toronto (that I don't think is part of the official chain) but tastes better than the official LA one and my mouth waters at the very thought of it. My favorite part is how you can see the yummy broth through the translucent skin -drool-

Hubby and I are aspiring foodies. We just recently went on a mini road-trip to try out some restaurants featured on the Food Network :)

  36. How fun is that troll? No way, Din Tai Fung that is better than the original in Taipei? The ones in Singapore are ok but we think the Taipei one is yummier!

  37. Whoa, that troll is huge! o_O You're telling me this DTF is better than the one in Taipei?! (I don't like the one in L.A but am willing to try a different location)

(I've tried the Kiehl's avocado eye cream but felt it was a bit heavy. I think it's just me though b/c I know it's pretty popular. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh my gah! Those xiu lung bao look amazing. I walked past DTF both in HK and Korea (if I remember correctly..getting my vacation mixed up) and now I seriously regret not going in :(
