A MAH-JOR reveal! My new e-ring & wedding band!

My Original engagement ring and wedding band set :)

I absolutely LOVED my original setting that the hubs picked out for me but I think it might have been a bit more modern and classical then I am haha as I prefer more antique estate jewelry.

The hubs and I agreed to have my center stone re-set for our wedding anniversary but seeing as how we won't be in the US during our anniversary the hubs said we should have it re-set for my birthday WOOHOO! :)

Presenting my newly re-set engagement ring! :)

I love my new setting because it has a very vintage feel to it. The hubs picked out a 3 stone ring for me for my original engagement ring and I wanted to keep with the same motif for my new setting. I also loved that he was smart enough to pick out such unique pear shapes side stones for my original e-ring.

For my new ring I wanted unique sidestones as well so I chose moonstones! These were nearly impossible to find because half moon stones are extremely rare.

My new engagement ring with my original wedding band didn't quite match since my new e-ring is more of a vintage vibe and my wedding band is much more classically modern.

It just so happened that I had lost a diamond pendant that the hubs had given me as a gift a few years ago.  Luckily we had insured my pendant with jewelry insurance (always make sure you insure your fine jewelry - I cannot stress that enough!)   However the company the hubs had purchased the pendant was no longer making that particular pendant so our insurance company they said we could pick anything within our insured price range.  So I decided to pick a new wedding band to go with my new engagement ring :)!  WOOT WOOT!

It's an asscher cut band!

I love it because it's a nice contrast against the my round e-ring because of the square shape and I think really offsets all the busy-ness of my e-ring.  I also love it because it's "blingy" enough to wear alone without my e-ring if I'm running errands and don't want to wear my full wedding set.

Now I wear my original wedding band on my right hand :)

To say that I love sparkly diamonds is an understatement of EPIC proportions hahaha.

How ADORBS is this Birthday card the hubs made for me <3!!!

    1. Those are amazing rings I've ever seen so far. Those wedding rings make me think of those good time I've had with my husband at the time we married... He bought me "Vintage Engagement Rings" and then a great wedding ring with art deco.... Thanks for the great write up!

  4. Happy Birthday!!! That thing is massive! I love the wedding band cut a lot (ascher). I actually want a wedding band as an engagement ring instead of one stone. Something like your wedding band but with bigger diamonds would make me one happy gal. Haha. I think I'm the only one who wants a ring like that. LoL

You should make Maldives one of your pit stops among your many cities and countries visited.

Ah, tt's ok. Interstate visits and relocation could be considered travelling too. One thing good about living in the States would be the road trips to the different states. If I were living in the States, I would make it a point to have road trips to various areas and I would consider that as travelling in my book. Unfortunately in Asia, most of us would always travel "overseas" as countries are too small for road trips.

I never knew there are hotels specially catered for dogs. I learn something new from you.
