D.C. Visit - That's Amores & 2020 Cafe

I'm originally from the Washington D.C. area and I LOVEEEEE visiting home but truthfully don't get to do so all that often.  I've been living away from home for the last decade or so and I've only been home a small handful of times.

I love visiting home because I get to see old classmates and friends :)!

Ciabatta bread w/ sun dried tomato's and olive oil Parmesan dip

Ok this was freakishly yummy.  I can't believe I've been living my entire life without putting Parmesan cheese in my olive oil HAHA.

I was so excited about this dinner because I met up with one of my BESTEST friends from high school!

HI HANNAH! hahaah! YAY! I have not seen this girl in 5 years!

Hannah's sister Julie on the left, Hannah and me :)

Crab dip with baked ciabatta bread

THIS WAS SO NOMMY!!! I COULD NOT STOP EATING THIS! The crab dip was so rich and delicious! and creamy... it was paired so perfectly with the crispy buttery ciabatta bread.  I think I'm drooling a little bit hahahah.

Pretty sisters!

Heart these girls!

YAY!  Come visit us in Germany :)!

After dinner we went to a friends Pre-Wedding bash!

Tammy the pretty bride to be!!

Funny enough I ran into an old classmate (HI MIKE!) at the bar who I had not seen in about 5 years!

Seriously what a small world!

  22. Your food posts make me want to fly over to the US just to check out all the amazing restaurants. I still can't get over your last hashbrown casserole post. I didn't know such thing exists. And biscuits... we call them scones. It took me a while to figure out that those biscuits you have over there aren't cookies (that's what we call biscuits here in the UK).

  27. That's so cool that you keep in touch with your old friends! I hope that I'm able to do that, when I'm older. As it is, it's hard for me to stay in touch with all my friends who've moved. The crab dip sounds great and I love putting Parmesan cheese in my olive oil because it tastes great and everyone thinks it's so fancy! :D

  28. You're drooling a little bit, I'm drooling a lot! And it's just bread (delicious-looking bread) and dip (delectable-lookig dip...)!!! It's so awesome that you've stayed in touch with friends even when living in different states! I feel like I've lost touch with a lot of friends from high school after only two years and we all go to the same uni! :(
