OOTD: Crystal pumps & Leopard

I've been *drooling* over Rick Owen's asymmetrical moto jackets for well YEARS now.. but at $3k+ a pop.. that is most definitely out of my price range.

I've only started "layering" clothes this year and I'm still learning but I scored this amazing faux leather asymmetrical moto jacket awhile back from Bamboo Sky but soon after we moved to 100+ degree Texas and I never had the opportunity to wear it!  Now that I'm in Germany I.CANNOT.STOP.WEARING.IT.  hahaha it really "completes" an outfit and I feel like it makes it seem like I know how to "layer" hahahaha.

My asymmetrical tiered rust colored dress is also something I would have NEVER bought in the past but I'm loving the interesting color and I find that Rust is a more "interesting" neutral.  Did you know blue is a complimentary color to Rust?  And that when you wear complimentary colors together they actually intensify each individual color.  hahah I've learned all sorts of "interesting" tidbits since I started blogging. :)

Moto Jacket: Bamboo Sky, Dress: Forever 21, Scarf: H&M, Ring: Noir via Gilt Group, Shoes: Dolce Vita, Handbag: YSL

  2. I love the rust-coloured dress! Blue and orange are complementary colours so it makes sense since rust is in the orange family...

  4. Love the jacket on you! And I like how you've paired the rust colored dress together with the grey-blue jacket - a very classy way of wearing contrasting colors :)

  5. I love rust! The color that is, LOL. I think it goes well with a lot of other colors. Also loving your heels! They are beautiful. You have the best shoes Lisa.

  9. I love your rust coloured dress and you're right about the blue and copper colour intensifying each other! Omg I hate when that happens, you know when you buy something to wear only to find out it is not weather appropriate where you reside? Happens to me loads of time when I go shopping in Tokyo/HK, Vancouver is just not warm enough year round for me to sport the clothes I wanna =( I love beautiful British Columbia but I need to move somewhere warm year around asap! (Bf keeps saying Vietnam but that wasn't really the type of place I had in mind sweetie LOL)

P.S I just wanted to let you know I'm always always staring at the gorgeous pair of pink nude pumps that you have, second shelf from the top, second from the right =) It has the straps! Miu Miu? Hahaha Can't see! But those babies are GORGEOUS!!!

  11. Haha, layering is actually one of my favorite things to do, but living in Southern California prevents me from doing it often. D:

  29. You layer like a pro Lisa. Love the color combinations of this outfit. What? A $3K jacket!?! Dang, crazy expensive. Your substitute find looks as good and even better for the money.

The photos from the trip were kind of deceiving Lisa. I sweated from head to toe and my makeup was melting profusely...haha.
