Our journey from San Francisco to San Antonio!

Beginning our long 6 day journey from S.F. to S.A.

Fairmont hotel in Newport beach SoCal

Miller Harris products.  YAY!

HEHEHEHE

Lucky for me one of my BFF's Shirley was also visiting her family in SoCal while we were spending the night in SoCal.  We got to meet for a quicky brunch and some shopping at South Coast Plaza.

Croque Monsieur

A Loubie store!!

What dreams are made of!! hahaha

Strass galore!  *sigh*

We stopped a night in Scottsdale, AZ at a Kimpton hotel.  They had leopard print bathrobes bahahaha!  How awesome is that?  I was so tempted to buy one hahaha.

Aveda bath products

My 3 Lovebugs!

I LOVEEEEEE Kimpton brand hotels.   They're always have a definite fresh young boutique vibe to them.

Ribeye w/ fries and vanilla bean gelato

The hubs and I shared this fantastic room service meal.  The ribeye and the vanilla bean gelato was SO crazy nommy.

A little something something I picked up at 70% off at the South Coast Plaza mall!

The hubs made us visit George Bush Sr. & Jr.'s home when we stopped for the night in Midland, TX.

The Hilton in Midland had Peter Thomas Roth products.  SO FREAKIN' AWESOME!

Finally reached San Antonio! WOOT WOOT!

 The San Antonio Riverwalk

The hubs and I normally don't like to eat at tourist traps mostly because they're usually overpriced and the food is subpar but after driving for 8 hours we just decided to have dinner at this place on the Riverwalk because we were so tired and cranky.

Giant Margarita!

Butter w/ HONEY?!?!  OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.  I think I'm going to like Texas.  HAHAHA.

Baby back ribs w/ Potato salad and garlic mashed potatos

The hubs and I shared a plate of ribs and surprisingly they were really yummy.  They were super tender and juicy and the meat fell right off the bone.

Bourbon gingerbread bread pudding and vanilla ice cream

This was pretty yummy the bourbon sauce was totally legit however the bread pudding was a bit unpexpected because they used gingerbread cake.  I like my bread pudding to be mushy the consistantly was a little more rigid than most traditional bread puddings.

The next day the hubs and I spent the entire day moving into our new apartment afterwards the hubs and I went and had a crazy amount of yummy buffalo wings.

That about wraps up our SF to SA road trip update :)

I love River Walk, I went there twice but I love Houston more. Somehow I didn't find a lot of Asian food in SA, can't live without good old Asian food!!

  30. OMG Lisa, did you raid the housekeeping carts when you stayed at the Hilton with the Peter Thomas Roth products? I would have stalked the housekeeping lady until she disappeared around the corner and then taken all of her stock. Hehe. And, the leopard print robes at the Kimpton were to die for. I'm sure my hubby would feel like a pimp in one of those robes. I'm ordering one RIGHT NOW!!! hahaha. Awesome post (as usual!)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Nice photos! Your fur babies looked like they enjoyed themselves, there are a lot of photos with them i the tub? Do they like them there? If so I can see this happening in their minds! "o0o0o hotel", "o0o0o0 bed"..." TUB!!!W$U#%*#($^*$%P(" and then they run and attempt to jump in lol, they're sooo cute!

Those nice hotels sure give awesome toiletries!!!! hahaha Leopard robes!!! Im sure your hubby had fun with those.....LOL Oh girl pleaseeeee you DO NOT look like a homeless bum even if you do have hair curlers on hahaha Don't we just love how our SO's can deal with the fact that we don't look perfect 24/7? As for the glue gun, everyone has something they fear from childhood!!!!! Mines is....ducks....cause I got bit by one when I was feeding them popcorn!!! I can still see a lil red mark on my finger, I think I need to do a "suki's worse feared" post or something LOL I have so many things that Im scared of it's uncanny!

Oh and I was sooooo going to guilt trip him BUT that plan is out the window! For our anniversary this year (August) we decided not to get anything since we're going to Paris but noooo Mr.Nice Guy had to just be one-up on me and act all cool and get me something! W$*U%)$#*^$#( So now...I feel like I should wait for me bag....but then again...it's not like I told him to buy anything....so really...it's all him right? hahahahahaha anyways toodles girl!

  58. That is a really gorgeous hotel room. The only hotels I stay at are 5-stars because I just cannot stand grody rooms. Still, I always feel like I should sleep in my sleeping bag on top of the hotel bed just because you never know ...
    Seriously. I do that.

I am so glad that you guys had a great time! :)
